Sales success is hugely rewarding for your business \u2013 which is why underperformance is hugely damaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A study published in the Psychological Bulletin states that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Poor performers deliver <strong>48%<\/strong> less than average performers<\/li><li>Average performers deliver <strong>48%<\/strong> less than top performers<\/li><li>Top performers deliver over <strong>100%<\/strong> more than poor performers<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If your sales managers and directors are going to meet their targets, you need to get your recruitment process right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Why does it go wrong?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your sales recruitment can go wrong because:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><strong>53%<\/strong> of applicants lie on their CV<\/li><li><strong>63%<\/strong> of interviewers judge a candidate within 5 minutes<\/li><li><strong>58%<\/strong> of interviews don\u2019t address soft skills<\/li><li><strong>18%<\/strong> of interviewers don\u2019t ask the best questions<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For your sales team to be successful, you need to consider soft skills.
